In the past nine (!!!) years, BioWare has only released two huge flops and a remaster, which probably explains their unremarkable reputation today.
Outside of the unique situation in Quebec, I think it's tough for anglophone Canada to culturally distinguish themselves from the US. But overall it's probably a good thing to be so closely tied to such a huge market.
