we are building a startup exploration platform

we are solving the problem of limited visibility of startups. let me paint a picture for you —

while scrolling through your social media you accidentally came across an ad or a post of a startup to which you got very excited. then you followed it, and maybe eventually you liked the product and purchased it. but have you ever thought that was accidental and several other startups are building such innovative products and you might not be able to know about them.

now for someone like you who is a startup enthusiast (or is starting a startup), has it ever happened to you that you are interested in a startup and you strongly believe that as soon as it is launched it will blow up the market. but when you launch it on social media no such thing happens!

if you could relate to the above, you would have realized that this is because social media is noisy and startups compete not only with startups, but also fully grown and mature brands, and most importantly, content creators.

well, to solve this we are building a dedicated platform for startup exploration, it would be a place where only startups can create content and people like you and me, i.e. startup enthusiasts can follow along their journey. and since from user-content interaction we will generate a lot of data we process this data and provide analytics to startups for targeted growth (it acts as a tool for startups). we believe if used strategically startups can easily convert our users to their customers!

the platform tackles the challenge of limited visibility for emerging startups. in the current landscape, users discover startups through tv shows or stumble upon them on social media, leaving countless innovative ventures struggling for attention. our dedicated platform revolutionizes startup exploration. we empower emerging startups to showcase their journey through engaging content and offer exclusive analytics tools for their targeted growth. users actively participate in the startup journey and discover new innovative startups. it is a one-of-a-kind fusion of social media, product hunt, and analytics tools. we aim to reshape the startup discovery landscape, ensuring every innovative idea is spotlighted.

how it works:

- startups register and share their journey through posts, polls, and promos, fostering storytelling and trust-building. - users engage with content, providing feedback, and, if they love the product, potentially making a purchase—resulting in the discovery of new startups. - user interactions generate valuable data, processed and provided to startups for targeted growth strategies, such as demographics of engaging users.

please let me know your thoughts and feedback!

It's a faulty premise. Very few people actual want to discover startups, for the sake of discovering startups. The reason no one has heard of your startup is because the people who have heard about it don't care. Startups grow when customers / users care about the startup.

Every startup "just needs more eyeballs." So startups will sign up for the promise of free / low cost users. But, they won't get them. And even if you get the exposure, the users won't stick.

I understand why you want to build this product, but you can't scale getting startups large numbers of sticky users like this.

thank you very much for your insight, i appreciate it!

but i think you misunderstood my premise. we don't promise you customers or have anything to do with customers.

we are building a social network that would make startups "more visible" (in your words - 'more eyeballs'). today every startup launches on every social media in the hope of getting noticed, but gets lost as there are contents from other grown brands and content creators. whereas at our platform only startups can create contents and, in a way, show how have they grown and how their product has evolved. and all the data that we generate from user-content interaction would be processed and presented to startups to help them understand their customers (they can use this to their advantage - we DO NOT intervene)

just that's it! i say it again WE DO NOT PROMISE CUSTOMERS!!
