The limitations and clearly second-tiering of the Exchange connector are what pushed me to move away from Google Workspaces last year. I settled on Fastmail, precisely because they support Push in iOS Mail.app. From my research, they are one of the very few who support the imap extensions required to do that. Have been very happy with them so far, they support all my workflows, and do so a lot better than Gmail.
