I liked the idea of this phone, but it got downgraded so much from its initial kickstarter concept and ended up being way more expensive than it has any right to be. Would love to see someone do it better.

Price rise when your market is small when doing electronic devices. Nobody will do better than available dumb phones in term of prices.
