It's unusual to come across a headline mentioning a wolf, the EU president, and a pony. (My first thought: WTF?)

My take: There are downsides to allowing the population of predators like wolves to grow without checks and balances.

Too many wolves running around in packs... is not necessarily a good thing.

Wolves can be quite nasty. That's why they have been cast as villains in so many fairy tales.

She has other work to do. Besides, the wolf ate his old pony because it had nothing else to eat.
