Ask HN: When it comes to micro app themes, which do you prefer?

Hey HN community, when it comes to micro app themes, what's your go-to preference? Are you all about that sleek sophistication with a Dark Theme, or do you prefer the fresh clarity of a Light Theme?

If you find both themes okay, how do you implement it? Is it provided by the internal tool builder or do you set it up with hand code?

I'd suggest this is entirely context dependent, though it doesn't hurt much to give the user both options except more work for you.

Some apps that I use, I don't care if they are Light-only. There are others that I only use at night, but are blindingly bright and have no dark option. Conversely, dark themes can be very difficult to see in the daytime.

Assessing when users use the app is a good catch to decide on the theme, but I believe many apps now give the option to switch between dark and light mode with a single click.
