Motion is relative.

What's considered 'normal' is also changing fast.

Changing a child's gender, for example, used to be considered an un-reasonable position, but now to be against it is: extremist, far-right, etc.

That's an ethnocentric point of view of course. Which cements the point of everything being relative.

There's definitely places in the world where changing a child's gender is, and has been for a very long time, totally normal. In other places, it's a practice that western colonialism has stamped out.

It never used to be illegal to change genders. Suddenly making it so the govt can invade other people's lives is an extreme position.
