However if you say "I don't know", instead of taking an approximate truth you might not action when it's required, and you might be the 6th type of NPC, the "Knows nothing" type who because they are an NPC who doesn't want to be NPC, will take the easy path of always knowing nothing and therefore not forming an opinion at all. E.g. if you are a US citizen and you take a "I don't know" approach in Russia vs Ukraine, you'll not support Ukraine, handing power to Russia and causing more wars down the line since Russia is left free to do whatever it wants. The results down the line will be worse even if you don't realise them in the moment.
