Feels like this tiny box is the only safe place on internet to share what I do

I feel like the only place I feel safe on the whole internet is this tiny box to proudly share whatever you create.

Because I get people may not like what you do or share, but I can't push myself to do gimmicky stuff first to share what I do, for visibility.

All the other places feel like, there are totems and rituals and jinxes to share anything. And also sharing anything with your close ones feels like as soon as you share something suddenly a huge vacuum comes to existence around you. As if most people that know you, are not happy that, someone they know, creates something.

Playtoob is a very simple video playing companion, to watch what you actually choose. There is no AI, no big-data, no machine-learning, no advanced know-it-all algorithms. Just simply "add a list of channels you like" and "play their videos shuffled".

You may have heard of it, I shared it here 1-2 months ago. Received nice feedback, applied it, improved and eased up the product. I had to put a small fee, because I couldn't handle the costs, to keep it live. This tiny box improved me and my product.

This tiny box just works.

For every other place you need to be somebody else, and you need to do some sacred rituals that has been told from elders to the next generations.

I shared it before on Reddit, as a father of 2, I was banned from Parenting sub. :)) I know some parent was looking for something like this. Facebook groups and pages immediately hate you if you share anything.

You may be genuine, but an ad in the middle of a heartfelt confession seems like emotional manipulation. It's not the best look for your product which now seems like it can't stand on its own. Also, this type of post is extremely common as a "sacred ritual" to get paying customers attention.

If this isn't spam be honest about what you are trying to sell. At the very least tailor your ad to the website you're on.

It is not an ad or spam, I'm selling it. I made and published it today on ProductHunt. Do you know how devastating it is when you create something there is nowhere and no way to reach an audience?

And then I got those feelings and wrote it here. And that's how I feel and tell everyone who have never heard of news.ycombinator.
