It's difficult to convey intent online. What matters is what he felt, maybe he's been facing too many people talking about politics on his posts recently.

But does it really matter to you that you got blocked?

I’m mostly concerned for the integrity of YC if this is what he’s pushing. If he’s so sensitive to politics then I’m not sure why he’s putting political content out there and using his authority to push it. Seems like he wants an echo chamber which is concerning for someone in his position.

I wouldn't call it "trolling", but it does seem to be off-topic. He probably wants conversation about the event, not clickbait.

Sorry, I’m not sure why it was off topic or clickbait. Can you explain? Should I have added WHY I think it’s bad as well? I honestly thought it was self evident but again, I’m neurodivergent.

>My response was: “it’s a scary thing when tech and politics mix.”

I too am neurodivergent, beware bluntness, but you're trolling in my opinion.

I don't know what event you're talking about but I wonder if it's that techno-optimism religion that was proposed recently by marc andressen? It would take a great deal of writing to explain what this religion really is.

>I honestly thought it was an important callout. Seemed very unprofessional to me

Contemporary politics is literally all about tech. You basically cant talk about tech without it being political. The vast majority of political subjects are tech subjects. Therefore the callout doesnt make sense to me.

You cant divorce politics and tech. So you are essentially saying both are scary? That be trolling.

That is not the event or circle I’m referring to. This one is far more nefarious. Just check out LinkedIn, unless he’s removed it.
