No mention of battery life. They keep making stuff thin, and unupgradeable. What's the point of buying an apple device that is going to wear out in 5 years?

To be fair every MacBook I’ve had has lasted 10 years minimum

That will also be true for any laptop that is not bottom of the barrel and got taken care of correctly by its owner. I have non techies' friends using Windows laptops who greatly outlived any Mac laptop because of software support anyway, and as long as they are content with the performance they still work just fine.

The MacBook's lasting longer is just a meme at this point, any laptop of comparable price/performance will last just as long if you don't trash for some reason.

Battery replacement costs $200. It's not like you just have to throw it in the trash if the battery dies.
