To be fair to him, the one guy reviewing Mac App Store submissions probably doesn’t have a lot to do most of the day when work is slow at his other job except nitpick and argue with developers because his job at Apple is reviewing submissions for the Mac App Store.

Yeah I totally agree with you. They cannot prove their value without doing so.

That's a misaligned incentive from the perspectives of both Apple and developers. This should be improved. Otherwise, I don't want to waste any more time flighting with these pointless stuff.

Appendix from the author:

Update (4pm, May 8, 2024 PDT):

After 95 hours, 4 rejections, an X post,

Twilar Mac was approved ~10 minutes ago, without any significant change.

We're glad they finally figured out this thing. But the cost of my time/life is too high.

This looks especially good while Apple tries to fight EU and Epic on how great their App Store is.

Are they trying to push people to just make iPad apps and make them available on macOS?

0.5lb of crap in a 50lb adaptive interface; it's the exceptionally swift method.

Whenever I read stories like this I just think to myself how sad it is that people put themselves in positions where they're going to throw their time away.

Is there a repository of these stories? I'm thinking about starting one.

Let's create one to hold them accountable.

I also tried to be a "good Apple citizen". Last weekend, I even appealed via their "official" channel.

Pay more for less. It's that simple.
