The Google I/O conference is today so of course Google announced several things and of course HN is discussing them.

They are probably reacting to GPT-4o

Right now on HN I see Veo (deepmind.google) in #1, Gemini Flash (deepmind.google) in #3, Model Explorer (ai.google.dev) in #5, PaliGemma (ai.google.dev) in #11. I've never seen so many Google products all listed in HN at the same time before.

This is typical when Google i/o & next conferences happen. Similar for other company conferences / developer days
