He lost the conservative parti race to polievre) anounced he would increase university tuition fee many times over, to reach canada's average. Scolarship would be changed to loan. Students were not happy with this and went on strike.It was pretty eventful. After a few month it did start to look like OWS.
It ended in fall, costing charest his re election.It really was eye opening in many ways. The media sucking up to the gouverment, the gourverment not giving shit about what end up being a large chuck of the population, forgetting they were in a democracy.
