If we're just a particular configuration, that configuration will have to exist again with infinite time and infinite universes.

If that holds, then it would be well to align ourselves such that we have a better chance to awake in a good place rather than a bad place.

Yeah I’ve thought along those lines as well. Almost like the multiverse is on a trajectory shaped by an infinite accumulation of decisions over trillions of years. And that would also provide a basis for a form of reincarnation ( if there is no actual data transfer then any past life memories would just be coincidental)
