I was just told that they American PMs there have limited power, autonomy, ability to get information, etc. It's very top-down, need to know, they have a culture where if you start to give #s on something during a meeting a representative from the legal department might cut you off and tell you to stop speaking because leadership cannot be allowed to know that info. (Take a guess why)
