Github would be substantially better off if they had not spent so much engineering talent on that arguably regressive client-side rendering refactor. I have PRs I still cannot review in their web UI due to the happy emergent properties of my browser being forced to incrementally fetch & render thousands of files as I scroll.
I can only imagine the current stability issues are an ongoing indication of similar technology choices.
