I reported my terrible experience with Synapse to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in early 2023. They responded that the company wasn't in their complaint system, which seems to be a huge failure for protecting consumers.

> We reviewed your complaint and weren’t able to forward it to the company for a response either because the company is not on our complaint system, or because we do not currently handle complaints about this product or issue.
