All the best to them. Although I have to say (no reflection on these particular founders), that I am amazed that VC will through i million + seed at a startup with no actual product idea or business plan. This just seems like 'here's some money try to make something work' - incredible that this still happens in the US (I'm assuming). That approach is unlikely to work here in Asia / Australasia.
