I believe that pageview is an extremely poor proxy for relevance, because it is heavily biased towards subjects that are more likely to be looked up (there is a hundred reasons to look up the singer, there are but a few reasons to look up Madonna/Virgin Mary, because its too generic).

Just consider analogously, "House": People look up Gregory House about 4 times more often than "House" as in building, but thats kinda to be expected, and a very obviously insufficient reason for an encyclopedia to link "House" to the TV series by default...

This is Wikipedia working as intended. And that's a good thing.

Wikipedia should consider becoming an encyclopedia again. That would be nice.
