I'm Ethan, an early-stage founder and YC alum. I built a prospecting tool to make conducting outbound less soul crushing :)
As an early-stage founder, a lot of my day consists of writing cold emails and scrolling through LinkedIn Sales Navigator trying to get in touch with my ICP. I've tried existing solutions like Dripify and Apollo.io to automate these tasks, but for me, I feel like the filters don't work great and I can't easily customize or personalize the messaging for each lead. What I really want is something that can learn the ICP I'm going after and automatically go out and fetch prospects for me to review across LinkedIn and email. I want to wake up and just have 50 leads that I can approve or deny, without the hassle of setting up a bunch of automations or doing it myself.
I built Comet to solve this need! It makes it easy for me to do all my outbound chores from a single interface in a dating app style format (i.e. a profile summary + simple approve/deny button for each lead). Every morning, the platform populates 50-75 leads of my intended ICP for me to review and approve the messaging. Even though it's a bit buggy currently, I find that, when it works, I can blow through my daily outbound quota and save ~1 hr a day, and honestly the process is much more enjoyable. I'm using RLHF to finetune the leads that are populated and automating connection requests + sending emails on the backend.
