I have seen so many Chinese projects fail/collapse that I am wary of the efficiency and longevity of any major Chinese infrastructure. The Chinese know/agree = look at tofu-dreg on youtube. It refers to structures so weak they seem to be made from bean curds...

The flipside of this is that if anything fails, they'll just rebuild it. Their capacity to build things is incredible -- and yes, also a little scary. I understand why some people might want to pretend it "isn't real."
