Agree with this advice. Our consulting agency, also based in Europe, specializes in exactly this - bootstrapping software solutions for companies that lack the in-house experience to do so. After a successful launch our clients usually transition to hiring employees to take over our work - a transition we actively support. It works out quite well in our experience.
