Ask HN: What do you love and hate the most about SQL

I've been working with Firebase recently and started working on a project with postgres. You may joke, but the simple pleasure of being able to do a join in SQL is simply lovely.

What I hate most - ORMs and query builders. I'm developing node services that use knex.js and the majority of my time is developing and testing abstractions of a quasi ORM on knex.
