GMOs and biotechnology more broadly are simply tools, neither good or bad. Genetic modifications happens naturally in organisms, for repair or simply exchange of material. Biotechnology takes advantage of that. In the right hands and with the right intentions they are and could continue to be a very useful tool in our fight against climate change. Kurzgesagt is such a great channel, I highly recommend.
