Lawsuits are a lot easier to start when you know you're going to win because a previous case was extremely similar, which is to say this could have a major impact on the industry even if the punishment (this time, for doing it while it was uncharted territory) was a slap on the wrist
Read the decision, the breach of contract claim simply survived dismissal, but the surrounding discussion makes it clear it doesn't have much of a prayer (which is the same as the "open-source license violation", the OP article is trash).
