Sounds like a really neat idea. Most clamshell foldables have a third screen, that's used when the device is closed, but faces backwards when open. This design makes use of that.

However I feel, just like with an iPad, 10 inches is too much to hold in one hand comfortably.

The video makes it look like it has a display when folded (1/3 of the unfolded display), so I assume unfolding is optional.

You can use it in 1/3 (regular phone), 2/3 and 3/3 (ipad size) sizes

Honestly i just hope that the 2800 price tag comes with a god tier warranty. (just remember, in America it would be something like 2200 because tax is included)

The VAT in China is 13%, I believe. So the price before tax is around $2,475.

Has anyone been able to find what CPU this is using? There was a theory that the 'breakthrough' was smuggled chips pre/during sanctions. There was some rumour that they only had limited numbers and that it restricted sales of their flagship phone [1]. It would be quite interesting to see what they are running.

Seems like the endgame form factor for phone and tablet combo. Personally waiting for rollable phone like LG TVs... feels like missed meme opportunity not for some PRC manufacture to make literal scroll for the lulz, bonus if one side is eink. I would like to unfurl a phone someday.

Having one of the "creases" be exposed while the phone is "closed" makes me nervous. Traditionally folding screens have been exceptionally fragile especially in comparison to regular phone screens, having the most fragile part of one permanently exposed to the world doesn't seem like a wise move to me. Hopefully they have some new kind of panel that's tough enough to handle it.
