Okay I didn't know that Oracle owns JavaScript trademark which is ridiculous.

Reading some reddit comments on the topic I was even more surprised to learn that Cisco has the trademark for iOS and licenses it out to Apple for use on their iPhone operating system.

It's a network OS for routers / switches that existed long before Apple's. Nothing controversial.
