Ask HN: Good CMS for Hierarchical Multi Tenant Apps

Does anyone have experience with Headless CMS solutions that work well with Multi tenant apps.

I manage 8 regional websites that are the same basically but with regional differences in Text and images. Lets call these 8 "child tenants". And I thought about having a Headles CMS structure where I create a parent tenant that provisions all fields for the child tenants. And child tenants inherit the fields from the parent tenant and can use it as is but also override it.

My goal would be to have generic texts set in the parent tenant but with variables. Where in the frontend variables are replaced with regional values. And if a child tenant overrides the field it gets replaced. But the child tenant can also reset the field to inherit the value from the parent tenant again.

Sounds pretty niche and I tried doing it with payloadcms but the hierachical tenant structure is nothing that is supported out of the box I guess.
