Ask HN: Asking for implementable advice for taking ownership of Software Product

I am working as a senior Software Engineer consultant for a crm company which is a saas based product for 2+ years.

Recently all the core team members have left the company and only the remaining senior engineer and offshore employee ( me and another engineer) is left and the core engineer will also be going away soon.

Manager is asking us (offshore team) to figure the stuff out ourselves as the core engineer will soon leave too.

In this case how can I take the opportunity to up my game and take more ownership of the system. Any advice about the whole situation?

The only way in this situation (which sounds like private capital took it over to run it into the ground taking the last profits) would seem to be 'up your game' by moving to a new company.
