Ask HN: Will the Trump administration affect H-1B visas for YC batch companies?

I apologise in advance if this is the wrong place to ask, but I wanted to open up the discussion to other legal armchair experts too.

I am currently awaiting my response to join W25 batch. My idea is combining my two knowledge fields, dentistry and technology. However, I am based in Melbourne, Australia. The upcoming second term of the Trump administration will most likely bring about changes to the H1-B visa program.

I was just wondering out aloud if uncertainties to the H1-B visa program is causing YC to be bearish regarding international founders/companies like myself?

I have no special knowledge but based on experience I think YC startups will be fine, and IIRC most founders don't come in on H1-B visas.
