This is the biggest issue with investing in Kotlin IMHO. The stewards of the language have a conflict of interest in democratizing the tools.

Their official position is sitting with smug face saying “well, duh, you’re free to roll out your own LSP and IDE implementation”, ignoring the fact that nobody outside of Google and JetBrains cares about Kotlin. And why would they? If the stewards aren’t interested in investing into healthy ecosystem.
