Having spent some time on branding and with relevant firms, I have learned that branding and design can have a strong effect on the culture of a company.

This leads me to think the simplistic arrangement of six number 6s OpenAI went with is a bit strange given cultural connotations.

Has any backstory been leaked or told regarding the thought that went into this logo choice?

Are they 6s?

I believe Ludwig Pettersson was the original designer of OpenAI and maybe the logo but I maybe wrong here.
