I live on a fault line, and we have overcome most issues by building seismic tolerant buildings.
We have the knowledge to live in high-risk areas with some certainty, but it will never be without risk. Climate change, ie more frequent severe weather events, is definitely going to challenge our norms and how we do things. Fire tolerant buildings ?
