Anyone else still find it weirdly amusing they are using the term aliens. Nowhere else in the world is that term used I don’t think

It used to be. It was a common sight in British and Commonwealth immigration law, but it fell out of use by about 1950.

I assume it is still everywhere in U.S. immigration law.
