How does your platform compare to Vanta/Drata/etc.?

1 - Free & Open Source, anyone can self-host Comp AI. We'll also offer a hosted version at a low cost, our goal is to shift the cost of compliance to the end (e.g. the actual audit) vs paying at the beginning.

2 - AI-first vs building AI on-top, the long term goal is to have agents that do things like collect evidence automatically on top of integrations.

3 - When the MVP is launched, anyone can sign up and try it out without having to go through a long sales cycle (demos, contracts etc).

what was the hardest (unexpected?) thing in building it?

It's pretty complicated, the biggest thing for us is that we need to be able to expand to more frameworks e.g. SOC 2 first, then support things like HIPAA - so we need a good way of mapping out frameworks to the app.
