How many videos were there, how many of them were archived, are they officially required to be archived? Per the article:
- the CFPB YouTube page [https://www.youtube.com/@cfpbvideo], which has 15,000 subscribers and was created in 2011, has had every one of its videos removed as of Friday [Feb 14, 2025]
This action seems consistent with the larger Trump admin strategy, whatever one's feelings about it. I was curious whether government YouTube channels were receiving the same kind of "archive team" response that governmental websites have been, and to get HN'ers thoughts on the practicality of mirroring that content in the fediverse.
