Why do you believe anything a Chinese company claims? Don't you know anything about Chinese companies?

BYD made that statement in a product announcement to investors, and they seem to care about their reputation and not getting sued. It’s certainly possible that they’ll struggle to hit it but they started as a battery manufacturer (they were even a supplier for Tesla) and control the whole design including custom charging chips and battery cells so if there’s a company which is going to hit this milestone first it would look like them.

BYD had delivered on their promises while Elon and Tesla have a very long list of broken promises behind them.

Tesla and Musk have a long track record of misleading/exaggerated or outright fabricated claims.

So far I've seen BYD deliver on all its promises but maybe I missed it (or my bias blinded me), do you have sources to show that BYD routinely lies?
