Ask HN: OSS devs, what are your experiences working with corporate sponsors?

I maintain a fairly large open source PHP SDK [1] (4.6M downloads at the moment) for Amazon's Selling Partner API. The project is about 4 years old at this point.

Amazon just started building their own PHP SDK for the same API (which is incomplete and way behind my library in terms of features/ecosystem), and I opened an issue pointing them at my SDK. I now have a meeting with them next week, and ahead of the meeting I'm curious to hear what other OSS maintainers' experiences have been with collaborating with large companies. Not sure what to expect.
