i’m thinking about printing a pergola. This 2 m pillar looked quite stable. Would that pillar, Vertically erected, carry a horizontal pillar of the same material?
How expensive was the material used?
They’re using standard PLA last I checked (I follow both their channels on YouTube, and Ivan Miranda - whose workshop is in the picture - got a massive shipment of it).
However, I wouldn’t print anything that needs to be outside in PLA, as it can’t tolerate UV.
They’re aiming to print a one-use kayak, btw. The pillar is just a test.
