Show HN: AIButton – Like AI Pin – but only one button to press, Made in Germany

Hello HN,

I've built a prototype of a hardware product that you can attach to your shirt and talk to AI with the touch of a button.

I've been thinking about commercializing it, whether people like it or not.

Thanks, Masih Minawal

Doing a "Show HN" for a product that doesn't yet exists, with fake reviews, and it's just a waitlist feels.. wrong.

You're right, a real demo would be better. The reviews aren't fake, though; they're from my friends who were fiddling around with my prototype, which has no hardcase yet. The response has been good so far, so I'll post an update with a demo of the product soon. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll work on it :)

Wow, such a cool idea! Where can I read more about the product, the release ETA, price, etc?

Thank you! If you sign up for the waitlist on the aibutton.io landing page, I'll send you an email with answers to your questions once I've set up a product page and start selling.

I expect the product to be available in mid-August. A demo, along with information on price, battery life, etc., will be available in mid-July. I'll then email it to everyone on the waitlist.

Ah! I recognise that case - did you buy up the latter remaining iPod Shuffles? I'll have look!

I loved the iPod shuffle, so I used it as inspiration. Cool that you noticed.

Is it really made in Germany? Or only design and software? Does it need a smartphone to operate?

Heyho – yes, I'll assemble it where I live... in Germany. However, most of the electronic components will come from other countries.

The product won't work without a smartphone.

looks cool, have you thought of a price yet?

Not really, but I found Humane's AI Pin to be grossly overpriced. It will cost far less.
