Here's a simple browser extension to hide Facebook posts from people and pages you don't follow. The post gets replaced with a small notification that says "Ghosted."

The biggest problem I've had with it is that sometimes it ghosts a few dozen posts in a row (NB: no false positives), in which case I close the tab and do something else.
