yeah, man, IANAL, but just having money in a backpack isn't probable cause without specific facts tying that backpack to that bank robbery, and I don't think your analogy holds.

I'm not in the least a fan of police overreach, but if a bank gets robbed and you are in the vicinity directly afterwards with a ton of cash in hand, I'd say that consitutes probable cause to at least look into what's going on. I would be angry if in that situation the suspect were let go without investigation.
