Just wrong. Apple just acquired 7 AI companies (talent pool). And amazon's Bedrock has been solid and pushing envelope for years.

The problem is with your expectations. Apple is no longer winning all the time, so relatively, it feels like it's losing. And Amazon is the quiet beast lurking, it's just doing a poor job at marketing.

Apple made the mistake of making a grand announcement and then not following through. They may have the talent, and even the hardware, but the product is still missing. OpenAIs open weight model runs great on my iMac, when is apple going to make a move?
