It feels like they are harmonizing their policies to present a united stand against the DMA: they both now charge similar fees on using external payments, they both now claim absolute veto over what software may exist.

google doing this doesnt mean apple is any better. i was team android from the very beginning and a huge part of that was, from the start, android was much more friendly towards customization, modification, and running whatever software you wanted. i eventually switched to iphone but if i still cared about what i originally did, i'd be super annoyed at google
