Making a good movie is really hard and rare thing. So if they tried hard, it would not increase the odds much because there is no "formula" for making a good movie. Only exceptional directors do it and even they can't even do it all the time. See Ridley scott and director of disaster thing called Cats. Also Zack Snyder

It seems like, across the board, the higher the budget the worse the outcome. We need more Blumhouse and less Disney.
