Show HN: MemoryMe: An effort to beat Cognitive Decline

Hi everyone! First time posting.

I built this mini memory game in an attempt to beat lazy memory syndrome.

because when was the last time you remembered what you did the day before purely based on memory (or without being prompted) ?

Super simple fun game for giving our brains a quick workout and actually reminding it on how to remember. If you had those old Nokia phones from the early 90s, the game will seem insanely familiar to you

Is this an issue for most? Though if someone hears that and nods vigorously you know they're a target audience. For sure it applies to early onset memory-formation deficit.

tbh, from what I've seen, it kinda is. Alot of people have gotten into the habit of giving default answers based on their routine even though it might not have happened on that day, or for example they did something different - they will not remember unless prompted

everything gets noted down or scheduled (which is a good thing especially if you're super super busy i guess but on the flipside- it encourages utilizing or relying on your memory less as there's no need to)

Which is why you also hear people say "oh it wasnt in my calendar so i didnt do it" "if i don't put it in my calendar I'll forget"

I played a similar game around 20 years ago. But it was way simpler, because it used meaningful pictures instead of abstract pixel groups.

abstract pixel groups forces you to remember better
