Show HN: PaperSync, making ArXiv papers collaborative

Demo: https://youtu.be/pnznDL9SZvI

PaperSync was a project was made by two CS freshmen, Matthew Li (me!) and Michael Li, in 24 hours during HackCMU.

At a high level, we built PaperSync to make reading research papers easier and more collaborative.

Users can reference any part of the paper, ask anything they want, and have other users reply, all within the paper itself!

If you are interested in our work, we would love to talk! Reach out to us at [email protected] or [email protected].

Looks like it would be quite a handy tool for academics working with ArXiv papers together. Maybe lower friction to register, a live demo or at least a sign in with Google option may be beneficial? Do you have any plans to make it open source? Thank you and great work thanks for posting

Thanks for checking it out and thank you for the feedback! Just added SSO for Google and ORCID + video demo which should make things smoother. We do plan to make it open source sometime in the future.
