Yes, I understood what you meant. My point about the book was that this is nothing new, and happens in every area of life.

Although, I have seen some indiehackers like levelsio recommend their thousands of followers to just copy successful products (while improving it). So I'm sure that increases the number of copiers, but it has indeed always been a problem.
