Ask HN: Should I upgrade to tahoe (macOS 26) or not?

After using iOS 26, I'm having mixed feelings about upgrading to macOS 26.

Does the new design look cartoonish on mac as well? Are other new features worth an upgrade? I was looking forward to trying out the iPhone app.

Never update your laptop to the first release of a new macOS.

For all the mainstream hate, I've actually found it OK to use. It feels a bit worse, UI-wise (too much wasted space), but I haven't found any "bugs" so far.

I like that I was able to replace Maccy with Spotlight's clipboard search so far.

Certainly wait until 26.0.1 or whatever the first bugfix update is named.
